Power Technology Southeast was founded in 1989 with a simple mission statement: build a quality product, deliver it to the customer on a timely basis and support the products to the utmost of our ability.

Today, PowerTech is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of mobile diesel generators. Our product range has expanded into many diverse generator market sectors and ranges from 3KW to 320KW for standby, marine generators, worldwide military projects, and gas/diesel electric vehicles.

The research team at PowerTech continues to experiment, improve and develop more fuel-efficient generators. A primary goal of our mission is to promote the ultimate in environmentally-friendly products that will be at the forefront of reduced noise and emissions control.

Strict quality controls are implemented throughout our production process for each generator. These include powder-coated and heat-treated components, automated assembly lines and testing stations.

PowerTech products are distributed worldwide from our manufacturing network base in Leesburg, Florida, USA. They are supported through a distributor and service dealer network in the USA and throughout the world.

Open Positions

POSITION: General Production/Assembly                                         

DIVISION:  LEESBURG, FL                  REPORTS TO: Production Assembly Supervisor

Power Tech is seeking manufacturing assemblers. We’re looking for reliable, hard-working and dedicated individuals who thrive in a team-oriented environment. Candidates will need to have some prior experience on an assembly line and general knowledge of manufacturing processes.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Able to rotate through different work stations that may include: assembly of structural parts, mechanical & electronic components, wiring, and finish materials used in the manufacture of generators.
  • Assemble appropriate tools including parts, materials & sub-assemblies to properly complete assigned tasks.
  • Regularly communicate with co-workers at other work stations to ensure daily / weekly goals are met
  • Read & interpret bill of materials, design sketches and assembly instructions
  • Assemble components accurately and thoroughly to approved specifications
  • Work closely with Production Lead and Purchasing to ensure supplies needed do not run out
  • Responsible for working in a safe manner, adhering to all safety techniques & practices and maintaining a safe & clean work environment.
  • Promote, support and adhere to all safety and quality related policies and procedures.

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Capable of reading and understanding production documents (ex. bill of materials).
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Work well with others in close proximity.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Reliable and willing to learn new tasks thorough hands-on training
  • Excellent verbal communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Own a set of basic hand tools, preferred
  • Working knowledge of assembly / manufacturing operations
  • Passion for mechanics and engines, preferred
  • Must be available for overtime (Fridays) when needed
  • Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting (10+ lbs.), bending, repetitive hand motion, and able stand for most of work shift
