Custom generator PowerTech Process

POWERTECH PROCESS

There's a lot that goes into creating a custom solution for mobile applications. Building a custom generator may seem intimidating and time-consuming, but the PowerTech process shows how our team guides, informs, and communicates the steps needed to create a custom generator to your specifications.

CONVERSATION

The process starts with a conversation. When you contact PowerTech, you will be assigned to a sales team. This team will include an engineer and a salesperson who is an expert in your market segment. Working with a salesperson in specific markets is crucial to the success of the project. The experience reveals common issues and recommendations with the design of the application and generator. The engineer's role in this team cuts out the middleman to reduce delays in the design process. The engineer also provides the technical knowledge needed to provide you with the very best in the size and efficiency of your generator.

RESEARCH

After our sales team has constructed an idea of your application's power needs, the team will research the specific requirements and components needed to accomplish a custom generator. Once the research is exhausted, the salesperson will provide a ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude). A rough order of magnitude is the initial estimate that is often done before the project is started. After the ROM, the team will provide an estimated lead time with 2D drawings and renderings (if required).

AGREEMENT

Once the client approves the drawings and lead times, the salesperson generates the final quote with a Purchase Order. The communication between the sales team and the customer doesn't end there. Constant interaction between the two parties keeps everyone on the same page as the process enters the final stages of the process.

PROTOTYPE

Our sales team has vetted everything in the PowerTech process, and it's time to begin building the client's preliminary generator. This process is achieved by a collaboration of our fabrication facility and our assembly team. Custom parts are created and joined with engine and generator components to create the custom generator. The assembly team follows a strict and detailed bill of materials for consistency and quality control. A certified test run specialist conducts performance tests to evaluate the generator and is recorded to meet PowerTech's standards. After the testing is complete, the generator is crated and shipped to the customer.

Transparency is paramount when working with a client to provide an accurate timeline and cost. PowerTech generators offer a level of service that is immersed in the details to provide customers with unmatched value in customization. We hope you've found the PowerTech process informative. If you have any questions, please get in touch with us, and a PowerTech representative will be happy to help answer any questions you may have in this process.
